KPTA will be holding an election for two positions: President and Secretary. Below, you'll find information about the general duties of each role, as well as details on the nomination process.
If you have any questions, please email officers@kendallpta.org.
KPTA Nomination Process
The nomination period is open from March 12 through May 6. Members are encouraged to participate in the nomination process by submitting names - either their own or those of others - via email to officers@kendallpta.org. Nominations will also be accepted during the meeting.
At the meeting, each nominee will have time to share their interests and reasons for running for one or both positions. A brief Q&A session will follow. Members will then have time to discuss the candidates before casting their votes. Election results will be announced immediately after all votes have been collected and counted.Â
Eligibility Requirement: Nominees must be a parent of an enrolled student for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years.
As per the bylaws, elections must take place during the final general meeting of the academic year. Voting will be conducted by a show of hands.
The last general meeting will be held in person on Tuesday, May 6th, at KDES.
